Analog Khaos began in the months going into the summer of 2009. What started as just a little goal allowed us to become what we are today – the United State’s first up-and-coming endurance record gaming team. However, it’s been a long road of struggles and successes, but the end goal has constantly kept that dream alive. The team was ‘founded’ by 4 friends/co-workers who thought it would be a great idea to at least look into setting a record. We began planning an event and chose our now meaningful name. We also go by ‘callsigns’, or nicknames that help identify us clearly with our gamertags. You can find those at the bottom of this page.
Analog Khaos plans to become the first endurance gaming team dedicated to holding every Guinness World Record for marathon gaming sessions. This is far from an easy task as each event takes months of planning and financial resources that we just don’t have. However, we hope to continue adding some of the biggest names in the industry to our sponsor list. Back on August 29, 2009, Analog Khaos successfully played Gears of War 2 for 24hrs 53mins. This was our first event and we made a few mistakes with the planning phase. But, we were successful and that’s all that mattered. It’s not easy playing the same game and not being allowed to stop except for 10 minutes every hour. Although those 10 minutes breaks (required by Guinness, health reasons) didn’t seem to last very long, they did add a significant amount of time onto our total event time. We were at our event for nearly 30 hours.
Next time, we plan on going a little higher notoriety as our last event was simply a locally featured spectacle with the support of Epic Games and the Xbox Division (Microsoft). Since we were successful with the third-person shooter record, we now want to go for the first-person (held by Frag Dolls @ 24hrs), racing (currently @ 24hrs 15mins), sandbox (not currently set), and sports (not currently set). Of course, who plays at what event is openly up to the team member. We are currently content with our member count, but as time progresses and we grow in the spotlight, we will definitely be looking for some players who stand out and can go the distance if needed.
