Wow, it’s been over a month since I last posted a blog, so I figured it would be legit to give it a whirl and drop an update about myself and what’s been happening lately with the team. There’s not a lot of change with my life, but there has been some decent updates regarding Analog Khaos as a whole.

First off, my life has been pretty slow moving and mildly un-entertaining. I’ve been Facebooking quite frequently as always, gaming at a lessened pace, and continually surfing my standard site-surfing. Obviously not very interesting to say the least, but hey, I had to put something. My college courses just started back up this week and it’s not looking like it’s going to be a very easy semester this time around. I’ve began my 200 level courses which have me slightly worried. But, at the end of this semester, I should be A+ and MCSE certified to hopefully help me get along to an entry-level position while finishing out my degree…unless some unmentioned happenings take place in the next couple of weeks.

As far as AK goes, it’s going to be a long next two months for another undisclosed happening as well. Stay tuned for more info on that. However, I’m hoping we can be more active as a team and start catching up on our team gaming nights as a whole. Those are always a blast.

Well, I’ll make it my best attempts to try and blog a little more than usual…since over a month of nothing is unacceptable in my terms. Take care everyone!

Hello AK members and fans! I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about my gamertag. I’ve been using “Bullet Storm” for almost 6 years now and although its been a great name, I’m thinking about perhaps changing it up. The name first came to me when I was in Advanced Drawing my sophomore year of high school. I needed something to draw so I started flipping through some anime magazines that I brought with me to class. I found one pic that showed this character doing a slow motion dive while firing dual SMGs and it looked like a storm of bullets were headed towards the intended target. I was so deeply intrigued by that idea that there really was no escape from the doom of that guy’s guns. I then created my own character called “Bullet Storm,” a lone gun man on a post apocalyptic world that was humanity’s last hope for survival in the wars between mankind, machines, and alien life forms. The graphic novel never really took off, I became tired of writing the story and sketching the scenes so I threw in the towel with the comic portion but dubbed my online name as “Bullet Storm” to keep the name alive. It was an original name, I was the creator, but now all that is lost. Polish video game developers “People Can Fly” and Epic Games are working on a FPS stylized action game entitled, “Bullet Storm.” I do think its quite odd, we play Gears of War 2, published and developed by Epic Games, and then a game is announced just months after our world record attempt with my gamertag as its title. I’m not saying that my gamertag is the reason why this game is called that, not saying that at all, stating the facts that I know. This isn’t the only reason I’ve considered changing my gamertag but it is definitely a major factor in whatever conclusion I do come to. I guess I’m writing this for some thoughts others might have on this topic, maybe tell me how you decided your gamertag and perhaps throw some ideas my way for gamertags based on my personality, play style, and things like that.
Thanks for reading and gaming!

I have to admit, I’m starting to get annoyed about the annoyance of 12 year olds on Xbox Live. There is always that one kid in your game that can’t shut up for his life, and then goes on to drop more language than a person would hear in a rated-R movie. The ironic part is the parent. Most parents these days prevent their kids from watching any kind of rated-R movie with lots of language, nudity, and over the top gore. This is responsible parenting in my eyes. But, these same parents don’t mind buying the game for their kids that is made for shooting and interacting online. That’s a hypocracy to their violence ban with movies, while the amount of cursing these kids drop covering the language base as well. When it comes to the nudity, there really isn’t a whole lot in games. However, just the other day I heard a kid yelling the best game of all time was GTA4. That is the icon of video game limits for all three sides of the story, so there is absolutely no excuse for that kid’s parents. I guarantee you that when that child’s parents see CNN/FoxNews reports on how bad games are, they are one of the first to jump up and agree.

Here’s the solution you irresponsible fucking parents: stop buying the games CLEARLY labeled for an age group almost twice as old as your child. Thanks.

Heres my first review so bare with me and provide some input to better it.

I was Pretty pumped up for this one as I thought the first UFC game was Simply Amazing. So lets get into the break down of the game.

Graphics 9.5/10

Just as I expected. Amazing. Great Detail on the fighters, the ring, and watching the load screens is like watching the fight live. Although the menus could use a little dressing up, but they were a lot easier to navigate then the first games.

Gameplay 10/10

The gameplay itself is just about the same, although the ground grapple seems to be slightly harder in this one. They also added the submission transition which is pretty sweet and a nice add, as well as a new sway system that makes the swaying and dodging more realistic.

The Career Mode was very good in the First one and the second came even harder here. This is my favorite part of the game. They added WAY more fighter customization including new fight styles, taunts, voice, much better tattoos (which kinda sucked on the first one) and customizable shirts and hats. They also, added after fight interviews, you have the option to fight amateur fights before turning pro and once you turn pro you do not jump straight into the UFC you have to prove yourself in the WFC. The Career mode has been lengthened to 12 years instead of 7 years, although nobody retires so you end up fighting 50 year old guys. Also, your stats decline if you dont improve them over time which I thought was a nice little twist. Once you win a title and defend it a few times you will have the option to have a champion vs champion fight ( which is an achievement as well) after winning this fight you have the option to move up a weight class.

They have added more game modes to keep this one fresh longer including Title mode, Title Defense mode, Event mode, and a few more.

Sounds 10/10

Pretty much the same as last year with the addition of your chosen voice in the fight intros and after fight interviews.

Overall Rating 9.8/10

I was wondering how they would make this one better and wasnt sure if they could, but i was pleasantly surprised on how not only did they improve it they blew last years away. They added and improved areas that need and left alone for the most part the fighting part which was top notch last year. Id recommend if your into fighting to pick this up for sure, by far the best fighter game I have ever played. Hats off to THQ and Yukes on this one.

Crackdown 2 was a game I was really looking forward to. I played the first one for a countless amount of hours and was ready to immerge myself in the sequel. I must say that I’m impressed with the improvements, but it’s not everything I was expecting.

Graphics

The graphics aren’t anything to look forward to. They’re the exact same way they looked in the first one. Maybe more pixels here and there to fill some things out more, but not much to speak of. I wish they’d have done some overhauling on the graphics system to go for a more 3D look instead of just the cartoon appeal, but you don’t always get what you hope for.

Gameplay

The gameplay has some good improvements. I was a little more pleased with firing a gun, although it still likes to lock onto targets that aren’t of your choice. Other than that, the movements seem pretty fluid, cars are very responsive and the enemies seem to have a better sense of what they’re doing. I honestly died quite a few times getting used to things including the improved AI.

Sounds

Pretty much the usual. I don’t think there’s a whole lot you can say about the sounds in a game. Just like before, I rarely listen to the soundtrack because I always have my own music playing beside me on my PC. So, sorry, I don’t have much of an opinion on the sound effects.

Overall Rating 7.5

I’d rate the game fairly well, maybe a 7 or 8. The gameplay and everything is there, but it still feels like something is missing from the game. You still do a lot of the same thing and it gets repetitive very easily; kill a gang here, turn on a beacon there, blah blah blah. If you’re looking for a sandbox game to play, but you’re not sure if Crackdown 2 is for you, I’d rent it first.

Well, it’s time to really start moving towards the big goals in mind and begin finding some new ways to hold our next venue. This includes finding a sponsorship (game developer for the game we’ll play), locational help (where we will hold the event), and much communication both within the team and the gaming community. Since our last event was only moderate in public appeal, we want our next one to be the crown jewel. To do so, we’re going to have to find another great company that will be willing to support the next venue so that we may successfully place their game in the official Guinness World Records book. With this recession, that’s not easy obviously, but since we are still trying to grow as a team, the financial side of things really isn’t as drastic as 99% of events. We just want to play the game and hold another record, so it all comes down to the sponsor’s funding to decide just how big the event is going to be.

With all that said, keep checking back for updates. If we get the ball rolling with anything, we’ll make sure to keep this updated!

So I was just playing some Splinter Cell: Conviction today when the most unfortunately retarded event took place. I was playing solo Hunter mode on realistic difficulty and was cleaning house like you wouldn’t believe. I remained undetected for 49 kills and started making my way towards my last target. I saw my chance and took it, I sprinted forward, ducked behind some cover, popped out for a quick pistol head-shot when all the sudden I was interrupted by a geyser of mucus that came blasting out my nose. I panicked instantly, unloading 4 rounds that went right over the terrorists head. He spun around on a dime and lit me up with one shot from his M-500 shotty. What a bastard.

For me, staying focused and determined on my own personal life goals is tough to do after some time passes. I can pretty much admit that I forget at times exactly where I want to be and how I want my lifestyle to revolve in the long run.

The good thing is, I had it pretty easy growing up so I learned to appreciate the smaller things in life. In high school, I never really got into parties and such as it just wasn’t my thing. A few years later and I still feel the same way.

With that said, I was scheduled to do security at a wedding reception this evening. After being here for a half hour, I couldn’t count on my hands the number or BMW’s, Lincoln, Audi, and such cars in the parking lot. Now, its been a while since I’ve been reminded of what I really want in life so this was a good way to do so. I think this here would be a good way to make a public affirmative action plan around the mindset of doing whatever it takes to get what I want, both with my life and for this team.

Just one of them moments I felt was worth mentioning in my blog.
